Obituary for Ralph S. Baylor

Ralph S. Baylor, 97, Orrstown, PA passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2018. He was born July 16, 1921 in West Milton, PA the son of the late Jesse and Mary Baylor. He was a member of Greenvillage Church of God for many years and a life member of the Charles Nitterhouse Post #1599 V.F.W. He proudly served in the US Army during the Normandy Invasion. Among his decorations were the Normandy Invasion Arrowhead, ETO Ribbon with five battle stars, the Pennsylvania Commendation Medal, and the award for Meritorious and Outstanding Service. Ralph retired from Letterkenny Army Depot in 1981 with 40 years of civil service. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by two children: Ralph F. (wife Carol) Baylor and Dennis W. (wife Karen) Baylor; two grandchildren: Jessica Baylor (husband Dan) and their daughter Emma; Marsha Knoll (husband Bryan) and their son Camden. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Leona M. (Miller) whom he married February 14, 1948 in West Milton PA. The funeral service will be held at 10 A.M. on Monday, August 27, 2018 at Sellers Funeral Home with Rev. Matthew Tosten officiating. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at Harmony Cemetery in Milton, PA at the convenience of the family.
