Patricia Ann “Patty” (Gift) Bennett, 74, of Chambersburg, passed away on Monday, July 23, 2018 at Menno Haven. Patty was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. A native of Chambersburg, she attended CASHs and was a member of the Glee Club. She enjoyed many activities with family and friends; competing in the Professional Women’s Bowling Association (PSWBA), traveling to the shore, camping and Atlantic City bus trips with her husband, Larry and close friends. Her favorite past times included cooking, gardening, bingo and watching favored Soap Operas. Her calling in life was caring for a special needs son and, in later years, working with other special needs adults teaching life skills in an independent living environment.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Larry, and son, Kirk Bennett. Patty is survived by her daughters: Susan (Bennett) Gipe, Michelle (Bennett) Mills; grandson Christian Mills; sister, Carol Rock and family; brother, Jeff Gift and family as well as extended family. Graveside services will be held 11:30 a.m. on Saturday July 28, 2018 in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be expressed at ww.sellersfuneralhome.com.
