Robert L. Helman, 66 passed away Monday, July 16. He was born July 19, 1951 In Chambersburg the son of the late Raymond and Mary (Hege) Helman. Robert was a farmer and life member of Salem United Brethren Church, Sunday school teacher, 4-H leader, boys and girls basketball coach, Salem softball team, and Chambersburg School Board member for twelve years. He is survived by his wife Lorie, two sons: Ashley (Rachel) , Travis; two grandchildren, Landen, Kayleigh, two brothers, Stanley (Jeanie), Wayne, five sisters, Katherine Lemmon (Bruce), Lois Benedick (Roger-deceased), Faye Gaugler (Frank),Ruth Ludwig (Harry), Marlene Benedict (Michael). In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a sister Mabel. A viewing will be 6PM-8PM, Monday July 23 at William F. Sellers Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 11 AM, Tuesday, July 24 at Salem United Brethren Church with Rev. Jason Bakker and Rev. Ron Cook officiating. There will be a viewing one hour prior in the church.
