Peggy L. Pilgrim, 86, of Marion passed away on Monday, December 12, 2016 at the Chambersburg Hospital. She was born October 4, 1930 in Chambersburg the daughter of the late Joseph H. and Helen A. (Grosz) Hoover. Peggy was a graduate of the class of 1948 from CHS and volunteered at the Chambersburg Hospital for over ten years. On July 3, 1952 she married John O. Pilgrim with whom she spent over 50 wonderful years. Peggy enjoyed gardening, golfing, knitting, fishing, bicycling, picnics, and especially visiting friends and family. Surviving are three children: Mark E. (Darla) Pilgrim, Sue A. Pilgrim, Joel L. Pilgrim; two grandchildren: Justin (Lauren) and Jared Pilgrim; two great-grandchildren: Kiefer and Emily, and a brother Thomas (Jean) Hoover (Florida). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John, three brothers: Robert, Joseph, and James Hoover, and especially close aunts: Alma, Rhoda, and Sara Grosz.The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 19, 2016 in the William F. Sellers Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Baker officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made to the Chambersburg Hospital, earmarked for Volunteer Services.Online condolences may be expressed at www.sellersfuneralhome.com
