Condolence: Have known George for many many years as he has lead the Military Honors Guard from the VFW on many of Veterans Funeral services throughout Frankklin Co. Without his leadership many veterans many have never received the honors they deserved. Thank you George and thank you his family for allowing him to give of his time.

Condolence: My thoughts and prayers are with George’s family and his many friends. I was so sad to hear of his passing. I got to know George when I was chaplain at Wilson College and he was on the security staff. I recall with fondness his thoughtfulness and kindness. I particularly remember on snowy winter days George would make sure my car was free from snow. I called him my ‘snow angel’. I now live on the Isle of Iona in Scotland and will light a candle in Iona Abbey, at the time of his funeral, in loving memory of George.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in this sad time. This "Soldier's Soldier" and Patriot has fought the good fight and is at rest from his long journey. He has paid tribute to so many Veterans, over the years, for their honorable Service to our Country, and comforted those left behind. Now we pay tribute to Captain George Gearhart, as our Lord Welcomes him Home.
