Obituary for Thomas "Tom" E. O'Neill Jr.
Thomas E. "Tom" O'Neill Jr., 85, of Fayetteville, PA. passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at home, surrounded by his family. He was born on July 21, 1932 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was the son of the late Thomas E. O'Neill, Sr. and Rose Cecelia O'Neill. Tom was a graduate of City College in Baltimore, MD. and served in the banking industry in Baltimore, MD. as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board. He proudly served his country as a sergeant in the US Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed playing golf, reading and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Margaret V. (Ronnie) O'Neill; daughter, Kathleen V. Owens, married to Paul E. Owens, Jr.; son, Thomas E. O'Neill III, married to Mary Kay O'Neill ; grandchildren: Mary Courtney Murphy married to Kevin Murphy, Paul E. Owens III married to Heather Owens, Michael Murphy O'Neill; great grandchildren: Emma K. Murphy, Kathleen C. Murphy, Henry J. Owens and Daniel R. Owens. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Patrick R. O'Neill. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
