Mrs. Dorothy “Dottie” June (Zimmerman) Yoh, age 96, of Chambersburg, PA died September 25, 2017 peacefully at home. Dorothy was born on June 12, 1921 in Chambersburg, PA, the daughter of the late Thomas M. Zimmerman and Ethel (Kendig) (Zimmerman) Ruch. At the time of her death she was the oldest member of the congregation of the Presbyterian Church of Falling Spring and for many years was a member of the choir. Dorothy was a charter member of the local PEO Chapter AG, a member of the Afternoon Club, Franklin County Art Alliance and the Penn’s Woods Printmakers. She was an avid gardener, loved Bridge and was a recognized local artist. Dorothy was a 1938 graduate of Chambersburg High School and a graduate of Penn Hall Junior College. Dorothy is survived by a son, Michael B. Yoh (wife Lucy), daughter Penelope Royer, grandchildren; Neely Diane Hufnagel, Lindsey Lee Hufnagel, J. Coleman Hufnagel, Sarah Chambers Yoh, and Annie Royer Yoh. She also is survived by several nieces and nephews, and a multitude of treasured friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Curtis Yoh, two sisters and a brother. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00pm on October 5, 2017 in the Sanctuary of the Presbyterian Church of Falling Spring. The Reverend Dr. Andrew Hart and the Reverend Dr. William H. Harter will officiate. In lieu of flowers Dorothy would wish that memorial contributions be made to the Franklin County Art Alliance, PO Box 1341, Chambersburg Council of the Arts, 81 N.
