Ronald Reinhardt, a dedicated husband, a loving father, and a very special Poppop, passed away peacefully on April 2nd, 2018 at the Chambersburg Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born June 29th, 1936 in Ridgewood, New York to his father and mother, Peter and Rose Reinhardt. Ronald “Ron” Reinhardt graduated from Grover Cleveland High School in 1954 and married his wife, Barbara, on May 29, 1960. He is survived by Barbara along with their children: Christopher (son) and JoEllen (wife), Stacy (daughter) and Robert Howard (husband), and Douglas (son) and Christina (wife); and grandchildren: Ethan, Arden, Jessi, Josslyn, Ashley, and Ally. Ronald’s life was characterized by his hard work ethic in various settings including his time dedicated to the air force (1954-1958), working for Regency Thermographers, Manito, and then River Rock Academy (to date). Apart from working, Ron spent his time serving as an elder of the Zion Reform Church and an advisor for the DeMolay George Washington Chapter as well as being a member of Reliance Lodge, Brooklyn and a life member of the Chambersburg Club. He was well known for his passion for fishing, his prestigious garden, and his meticulous yardwork. He is remembered fondly by all for his integrity, witty sense of humor, infectious laugh, and caring heart. Ron had the unique ability of brightening each room he entered and touching the lives of those he encountered over the years. His family, friends, and others touched by Ron will be gathering at a date and time still to be determined. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Zion Reform United Church of Christ, 259 South Main Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
